Minister on a mission

The Rev. Vincent T. Bell, Sr. outlined a plan to establish a Christian congregation in Edgewater at a launch team meeting at the offices of the Bergen News on Sunday, Oct. 24. Quoting both the Bible and U.S. Census statistics Pastor Bell made the case why Edgewater is the ideal location. He also expressed an interest in reopening the First Presbyterian Church in Edgewater, which closed last Easter Sunday, April 4. While such a reopening would not be as a Presbyterian Church, he intends to keep the catchy phrase used by the Rev. Lundy, “The Church on the Edge.” Further discussions on establishing a new congregation will take place at a meeting on Sunday, Nov. 14. Assisting Pastor Bell in his presentation was his wife, Rhonda.
