A 10-year-old member of the Norwood Whalers swim team, Victoria Labita earned NJPMA (Bergen County area) championships in both the 25-meters freestyle and butterfly championships on Saturday, August 7, at Stony Brook in Hillsdale, where Victoria also helped the Norwoog 9-10 girls 100 free relay team finish second. Joining Victoria in that runner-up quartet were Elizabeth McDermott, Julia Passante and Olivia Magaraci.

A recent impromptu pep rally and planning session for the Andiamo Run took place at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. Police officers who ride in the motor escort will receive one chance each to win a Harley-Davidson police bike for their department, courtesy of the Andiamo Motorcycle Charity and Bergen County Harley-Davidson.
